Voters will today elect councillors for 23 local authorities in England.
Polling stations will be open between 7am and 10pm on Thursday with results expected to trickle in from the early hours of Friday morning.

Thursday’s local elections are predicted to be gruelling for the Tories who could lose up to 500 councillors across England.
Reform are tipped to be the big winners of the night, with a predicted haul of as many as 450 local authority seats.
