(KRON) – All-Pro tight end George Kittle and the San Francisco 49ers have come to an agreement on his future in the Bay Area.
The team has announced the Niners will be extending Kittle's contract for four more years. According to "Bussin’ With The Boys", the six-time Pro Bowl pick’s four-year contract totals $76.4 million overall with $40 million guaranteed. This would make Kittle the highest-paid tight end in the NFL.
The team’s General Manager, John Lynch, explained that in drafting Kittle eight years ago, he a high hopes for the “skinny tight end from Iowa.” However, Kittle has exceeded expectations as a 49er and a person. Lynch called Kittle “one of the best tight ends in the NFL.”
