Beyond the Gates, which normally airs weekdays at 2 p.m. ET on CBS, will be preempted by UEFA Champions League Today.
This will be followed by the UEFA Champions League semi-final soccer match between Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain F.C. (PSG).
The UEFA Champions League is an annual club soccer competition organized by the Union of European Football Associations.
Beyond the Gates will return on Thursday with Episode 45, which is described as “The Duprees kick off Ted (Maurice Johnson) and Nicole’s (Daphnee Duplaix) anniversary party; Eva tries to keep her mother Leslie in check.”
All leading up to Friday’s installment, which is teased as “Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party is a night the family won’t soon forget.”
Speaking at the Paley Center before the series premiered, executive producer Shelia Ducksworth teased a huge moment for Nicole airing in late April. Ducksworth said, “I’ll say this, mark your calendars. When we get towards the end of April. Wait until you see. That’s all I’m going to say. Wait until we get there. We’re all watching this down in the control room and our stomachs are turning. It’s a big one.”
On-screen, Nicole has been assisting ‘Sherri’ (Trisha Mann-Grant) who she believes to be a mentally disturbed patient. However, unbeknownst to Nicole, Sherri is actually Dana, the woman whom Nicole’s husband Ted cheated on her with over twenty years ago. Now Dana and her daughter Eva (Ambyr Michelle) are infiltrating Ted and Nicole’s life. After weeks of lies and manipulation, Dana is set to expose everything, including the revelation that Ted is actually Eva’s biological father, at Ted and Nicole’s wedding anniversary party.
The entire Dupree and Richardson family will be in attendance, and the promo has shown that they will be having quite the reaction as their son Martin (Brandon Claybon) is shown to shove his father, while daughter Kat (Colby Muhammad) says, “Why do I suddenly feel like I’m about to lose my family?”
Beyond the Gates returns Thursday at 2 p.m. ET on CBS and streams daily on Paramount+.
