Nikki Glaser is a beloved comedian. She’s also known for her ability to roast people. Which made her hosting the Golden Globes an interesting affair. The comedian shared that one star almost didn’t show up on time for fear that she’d roast him.
During a conversation for the Time 100 summit, Glaser talked about how she found out stars were afraid of her hosting. After her roast of Tom Brady, stars were reportedly afraid of what she’d say to them at the Golden Globes ceremony. Glaser explained that there is a difference between hosting an award ceremony and a roast and said that she’s “hired to be mean” at roasts. For the Globes, she said “it’s not my job to ruin their night.”
