In the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack, former Pakistan fast-bowler Shoaib Akhtar's YouTube channel has been banned in India.
The government of India has been taking several tough steps against Pakistan over the ghastly terror incident. The attack resulted in the death of more than two dozen civilians in Pahalgam. Soon after the attack and its links to Pakistan emerged, the government suspended the Indus Water Treaty.
The government also asked the Pakistani citizens living in India to leave the country within 48 hours. Apart from those steps, the government is also taking several measures to prevent the spread of provocative, communally sensitive content and misleading narratives.
As a result, the government has blocked more than a dozen Pakistani YouTube channels in the country. Some of Pakistan's leading news outlets, such as Dawn, Samaa TV, ARY News, Bol News, Raftar, Geo News, and Suno News, have been blocked.

PSL broadcasting banned in India
Meanwhile, the Indian broadcasting platforms FanCode and Sony Sports India have suspended the coverage of the Pakistan Super League in India. The recent event will further strain the India-Pakistan relationship and is expected to have a big impact on the cricketing ties as well.
India and Pakistan have not played a bilateral series against each other since the 2012-13 season. The cricketing ties between the two nations were suspended by the Indian government in 2008 after the Mumbai terror attack. Later in 2012-13, Pakistan visited India for a short limited-overs series, but the ties were suspended soon after.
The arch-rivals play against each other only in the Asia Cup and ICC tournaments now. They last faced each other in February this year during the Champions Trophy.
