The San Diego Film Foundation, producer of the San Diego International Film Festival, has announced that marketing volunteer and philanthropist Vicki Eddy has joined its board of directors.
A longtime supporter of the Film Festival, Eddy, originally from Shreveport, Louisiana, has lived in San Diego the past 43 years. In her career, Eddy worked as a copywriter for local advertising agencies and design firms and taught creative direction and advertising at the Advertising Arts College.
In recent years, she has donated her marketing and creative skills in support of several philanthropies.
Eddy has served in leadership roles with such nonprofits as Las Patronas, Patrons of the Prado and The Thursday Club. She chaired the 113th anniversary Charity Ball for Rady Children’s Hopsital and was named United Way Volunteer of the year for her work with the Epilepsy Foundation.
“I’m excited to join the San Diego Film Foundation’s board of directors,” said Eddy. “Film has the unique power to foster empathy and inspire important conversations. I look forward to helping the Foundation continue to use storytelling to connect people and spark positive change in our community.”
A statement said the San Diego Film Foundation is dedicated to using the power of film to explore social issues, promote empathy and create dialogue.

Eddy and her husband Chris has lived the past two decades in downtown’s Pinnacle Marina Tower in the Marina District. Their favorite movies include “To Kill a Mockingbird,” “Gone with the Wind,” “Bridge on the River Kwai,” “Singin’ in the Rain,” “Mary Poppins,” “Young Frankenstein,” “Blazing Saddles,” “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid” and “The Wizard of Oz.”
InnoVision partners with Portland digital marketing firm
San Diego-based InnoVision Marketing Group has announced a partnership with Digital Marketing Group of Portland, Ore.
The combined entity will be called InnoVision Digital Marketing Group.
A statement said iDMG’s services will include a combination of InnoVision’s expertise in brand strategy, creative solutions and media placement with DMG’s strengths in digital marketing, performance analytics and audience targeting. The partnership will bring together a team of more than 100 professionals.

Public relations firm Nuffer, Smith, Tucker Hires Kelli Nenaber for new business
San Diego public relations firm Nuffer, Smith, Tucker has hired Kelli Nenaber as senior account director.
A statement said Nenaber will drive new business opportunities, expand strategic capabilities and support agency professional development. She also will support NST’s roster of clients, including the California Department of Food & Agriculture’s Invasive Fruit Fly outreach efforts.
Previously, Nenaber worked as senior marketing director at Westfield UTC, where she led marketing strategy, community relations and brand management. She also headed branding strategy and implementation for Palisade at Westfield UTC, the company’s first U.S. residential project.
Prior to Westfield, Nenaber served as public affairs manager at Southwest Strategies where she supported key regional clients, including SANDAG and SDG&E. Earlier in her career, she served as events and communications manager at Santa Monica Place, earning recognition in 2013 as one of the company’s top 10 revenue-driving marketing managers.
