Eddie Hall has apologised to Mariusz Pudzianowski for punching him in the back of the head during their MMA fight.
Hall, the 2017 World’s Strongest Man, required just 27 seconds to dispatch of Pudzianowski on his second MMA appearance at KSW 105 on Saturday night.
He wobbled his Polish counterpart with a thunderous right hand before throwing him to the canvas and stopping the fight with some vicious ground and pound.
The referee rushed over and quickly stopped the fight as Pudzianowski offered no response.
However, Hall was straight up when speaking to the media after the fight about his use an illegal move.
“I do hold my hands up when I say, ‘I’m sorry for hitting you in the back of the head,'” the 37-year-old said.
“I don’t condone that, and I wouldn’t want it done to me.”
Hall then extraordinarily revealed that he broke his hand in the fight, which came 10 months after his MMA debut in a 2v1 battle with Jamil and Jamel Nefatti.
“The fight was Mariusz was harder,” Hall said, comparing the two MMA fights.
“I didn’t break my hand on the Neffati Brothers. But I broke my hand on Mariusz’s face.
“I’d say Mariusz is a much harder fight than the Neffatti Brothers.
“But the Neffati Brothers, they won a 2-vs-1 recently. So fair play to them. They’ve improved. So well done to them.”
Hall said he broke his hand on Pudzianowski’s faceKSW But that didn’t stop him from consoling Pudzianowski after their short scrapKSWBriton Hall, who resides in Stoke-on-Trent, tipped the scales at a whopping 334lbs [151.3kg], which was a vast increase on Pudzianowski, who weighed in at 267lbs [121kg].
Nonetheless, the Pole was by far the more experienced fighter heading into KSW 105.
He boasted a professional record of 17-9, compared to Hall’s 0-0, although he hadn’t competed in an MMA fight since April 2023.
But this didn’t matter whatsoever, as Hall made sure to get his opponent out of there in no time.
The stoppage was alike to one we’ve seen so many times by UFC superstar Tom Aspinall, who had been preparing Hall for the fight through several brutal sparring sessions.
Hall may have Aspinall to thank as he revealed exclusively to talkSPORT.com he had joined the interim UFC heavyweight champion’s Aspinall’s camp to leave no stone unturned in his preparation.
Hall made light work of Pudzianowski at KSW 105KSW But has previously told talkSPORT he has no intentions of challenging for world titles in the sportKSW“[Aspinall’s] got some great guys there. [I’ve] even sparred with Tom, done some grappling with Tom,” he said.
“You can’t get any better than that. He might not be the number one in the world, but in my eyes, I think he is the number one in the world when it comes down to it.
“So to go and hang with the best in the world has been a massive privilege.”
The experienced proved to be equally valuable and humbling for Hall.
“I’ll be honest, you spar with Tom and grapple with Tom,” Hall said.
“You don’t realise how f****** w*** you are until you grapple and spar with someone like that.”
Hall also told talkSPORT that he has no plans to challenge for any sort of world title in the sport of MMA.
Instead, he wants to remain in the ‘freak fight’ industry, and even suggested teaming up with Pudzianowski in a 4v2 down the line.
