Rain-caused mudslides prompted a temporary closure of Pacific Coast Highway in the Palisades fire burn scar area on Saturday.
PCH was closed from Sweetwater Canyon Road east of Malibu to Chautauqua Boulevard east of Pacific Palisades, the Caltrans Quickmap said.
There was a good amount of mud that needed to be cleared at Tuna Canyon Road west of Highway 27, Caltrans said.
The road was expected to reopen Sunday at 6 a.m. to soft-closure conditions caused by the Palisades fire, meaning it would reopen to residents with burn scar passes, contractors, emergency responders and designated buses.
