A suspect is in custody after refusing to exit a reported stolen U-Haul truck and trailer, prompting a SWAT team intervention in Mira Mesa.
Officers responded around 1 a.m. Friday to reports of the vehicle and trailer at 7775 Calico St., according to the San Diego Police Department.
Police officials said the male driver was either in the cab or trailer and refused to exit, which prompted SWAT assistance as a precaution.
The suspect was taken into custody around 7 a.m., police said. It was unclear how police were able to arrest him.
No injuries were immediately reported.
