Sunrisers Hyderabad owner Kavya Maran could not control her emotions after Harshal Patel dropped an easy catch during the match against Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday (April 25).
The incident took place in the seventh over of the CSK innings when Ravindra Jadeja was facing Zeeshan Ansari. On the final ball of the over, Jadeja decided to play a big shot but ended up miscuing the ball towards Harshal Patel at long-off.
With the ball covering a good distance, Harshal had all the time in the world to settle under the ball. The SRH pacer did get under the ball in time but failed to hold on to the ball. It was a regulation catch, but Harshal somehow managed to drop it.
Soon after Harshal dropped the catch, the cameras turned towards the stands where Kavya Maran looked livid. The SRH owner does not shy away from expressing herself in the stands, and she was at it again after Harshal dropped the catch.

Jadeja was batting on 8 when Harshal dropped the catch. Fortunately for SRH, the miss did not prove costly as Jadeja failed to capitalise on the reprieve. While the veteran all-rounder got the start, he could not convert it into a big score. He was bowled by Kamindu Mendis in the 10th over and departed after scoring 21 runs off 17 balls.
CSK all out for the first time in Chepauk since 2019
Meanwhile, SRH have bowled out CSK for 154 runs. Barring debutant Dewald Brevis, no other CSK batter could score more than 30 runs in the innings. Brevis top-scored for his side, scoring 42 runs off 25 balls with the help of a four and four sixes.
For SRH, Harshal was the star with the ball. While the pacer dropped an easy catch, he made up for it with his brilliant bowling display. He picked up 4 wickets while conceding 28 runs in 4 overs. Pat Cummins and Jaydev Unadkat impressed with the ball too, taking two wickets each.
