Ann B. Davis famously portrayed beloved housekeeper Alice on The Brady Bunch during the show’s run on ABC in the 1970s, as well as the 1980s Brady TV movies, The Brady Girls Get Married and A Very Brady Christmas, and the short-lived 1980s spinoff series, The Brady Brides and The Bradys.
Though Davis died in 2014 at the age of 88, her legend lives on—and in some unusual places.

Alice in Chains’ bassist Mike Inez, who has been in the band since 1993, shared an April 24 post on Instagram teasing that the group is back together and working, writing, “Our tribe is making noise. #aliceinchains.”
While that was good news for fans, what really got a reaction was the photo Inez shared of his bass and founding drummer Sean Kinney’s kit, which featured a psychedelic rendering of the iconic Brady housekeeper, Alice, on the bass drum head.
Fans, and even some fellow musicians, were quick to leave comments.
“Alice In Chains, Alice Cooper, Alice the Maid…that tour SHOULD happen!!! ?❤️,” wrote guitarist Ryan Roxie.
“There she iiiiiisss ?,” posted Karmann Soane, who goes by the handle sketchygoat on Instagram and is the artist responsible for the artwork. Her comment prompted a fan to remark, “@sketchygoat The world’s coolest Alice by the world’s coolest artist!”
“Sticking with the classics!” another fan posted, while another joked, “Alice doesn’t live here anymore,” dropping the title from a non-Brady 1970s movie.
Along with Pearl Jam and Nirvana, Alice in Chains was one of the most popular bands to emerge from the Seattle area in the ‘90s, with such hits as “Man in the Box” the chart-topping Jar of FliesEP in 1994 and self-titled album the following year.
Although original lead singer Layne Staley died in 2002 from a heroin overdose, the band is still in action with singer/guitarist William DuVall, who has been fronting the band since 2006, and original songwriter/vocalist/guitarist Jerry Cantrell.
