The six-time All-Star had a hard landing after a foul by Amen Thompson in the first quarter.

Butler stayed down after the collision before eventually getting up and attempting to shoot free throws.

He made one of two from the line but then walked to the locker room.

The 35-year-old didn’t return to the floor as the Warriors fell to a 109-94 defeat.

Butler is scheduled to have an MRI exam Thursday on the injury.

He suffered a pelvis contusion on the play and the extent of the damage is not yet known.

“Jimmy always says he’s going to be fine,” coach Steve Kerr said.

“But we have to wait to see with the MRI.”

Game 3 of the series takes place Saturday and the Warriors will be sweating on Butler’s availability.

Kerr also gave his thoughts on the foul from Thompson.

“We didn’t think there was anything wrong with the play,” Kerr said.

“It was just one of those plays.”

Butler was traded to the Warriors in February after making it clear he wanted out of the Miami Heat.

He has injected life into Golden State and been key in their run to the playoffs.

Butler had 25 points, seven rebounds and six assists in the 95-85 Game 1 win over Houston.

The series is level at 1-1 headed to San Francisco, California.

Jalen Green led the way with 38 points for the Rockets in their Game 2 victory Wednesday night.

The 23-year-old guard hit eight 3-pointers in a hot shooting performance.

Green admitted he felt the playoff nerves in Game 1.

“The lights were bright, the crowd was here, the court looked huge,” he said.

“So I couldn’t really get a chance to settle in. My legs was a little shaky.

“I feel like a did a good job of answering back.

“From the beginning my whole mindset from today was to go in and be aggressive and get back to being myself.”
