Celebrity Traitors UK – line-up in full

A glittering cast of film stars, comedy legends, Olympic champions and singers is reported to be lined up to enter a celebrity version of The Traitors in 2025.

Speculation is rife about who has signed up for the first UK celebrity version, after a similar series in the US.

    BBC One has not yet confirmed the names of those entering Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands, although Claudia Winkleman is understood to be hosting the show.

    However, several big names were reported by The Sun as having agreed to take part in the game of treachery and deceit.

    We take a look at who is said to have been seduced to join.

    Sir Stephen Fry is among the names said to be taking part in the the first UK celebrity series of The Traitors.

    Actor, comedian, writer and broadcaster Sir Stephen, 67, rose to fame in the BBC sketch show A Bit of Fry & Laurie with his close friend Hugh Laurie. He has since starred in Jeeves & Wooster, Blackadder, Absolute Power, Kingdom and Bones.

    And he has appeared in numerous films including Wilde, Gosford Park and Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows.

    He was the former host of the long-running quiz show QI and have written numerous books including The Liar and the autobiography Moab is my Washpot.

    Alan Carr

    Alan Carr is reported to be joining the celebrities at the castle in Scotland.

    Comedian and actor Carr, 48, has hosted his own chat show Alan Carr: Chatty Man, presents Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr, is a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK and has starred with Amanda Holden in Amanda And Alan’s Italian Job makeover series.

    He has  won three British Comedy Awards, two National Television Awards and a Bafta TV Award.

    Jonathan Ross is believed to be among the celebrities joining the show this year.

    The broadcaster, writer and film critic, 64, began his career presenting The Last Resort with Jonathan Ross on Channel 4.

    He presented the BBC One chat show Friday Night with Jonathan Ross during the 2000s and early 2010s and hosted a BBC radio show from 1999 to 2010.

    He now presents chat show The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV and is a judge on the UK version of The Masked Singer.

    Kate Garraway is understood have a place at the round table for the new celebrity series of The Traitors.

    The broadcaster and journalist, 57, began her career on ITV regional news then joined GMTV as a presenter in 2000 before going on to host Daybreak and The National Lottery Draws.

    Since 2014, she has presented Mid Mornings with Kate Garraway on Smooth Radio and Good Morning Britain.

    She has also produced a series of documentaries about her life with her husband Derek Draper, who died in 2024.

    Clare Balding is rumoured to be signed up for some televisual treachery on The Traitors.

    Presenter and writer Balding, 54, began her career presenting sport on the Chris Evans Breakfast Show on Radio 1. She has gone on to cover horse racing, the Olympics, Wimbledon, the Boat Race and rugby league on television and radio.

    She was the presenter of Good Morning Sunday on BBC Radio 2 and hosted her own sports chat show called The Clare Balding Show.

    Tom Daley

    Tom Daley may be swapping diving and knitting for deceit and double-bluffing on TV.

    Olympic diving champion Daley, 30, has won gold, silver and bronze medals in diving at the Olympic Games between 2012 and 2024.

    He is also a four-time World Champion and five-time European champion.

    He announced his retirement from the sport the day after the closing ceremony for the 2024 Olympics in Paris.,

    Joe Marler is understood to be in the celebrity scrum for the new version of The Traitors.

    The former rugby union player, 34, started his career at Haywards Heath RFC in West Sussex and went on to play for London club Harlequins from 2009 to 2024.

    He also played for England from 2010 until his retirement in 2024.

    He hosts a podcast entitled Joe Marler’s Things People Do.

    Nick Mohammed

    Nick Mohammed is reported to have been uncloaked as one of the celebrity cast for the show.

    The actor, comedian and writer, 44, is well known for his role as Nathan Shelley in the television series Ted Lasso.

    He has also starred in Renegade Nell, Intelligence, Hank Zipzer and Reggie Perrin.

    Lucy Beaumont will be hoping to avoid banishment as she is reported to have joined the cast of celebrity traitors.

    The comedian, 41, rose to prominence with the radio sitcom To Hull and Back which she co-wrote and starred in with Maureen Lipman. 

    She also co-wrote and starred in the documentary-style sitcom Meet the Richardsons, with her former husband, the comedian Jon Richardson.

    Joe Wilkinson

    Joe Wilkinson is understood to be one of the celebrities heading for the Scottish castle.

    The actor, comedian and screenwriter, 50, is a regular on the panel show 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and has appeared on Have I Got News for You, Mock the Week and Never Mind the Buzzcocks.

    He has also had roles in Sex Education, After Life, Miranda and The Cockfields.

    Celia Imrie is allegedly one of the famous faces destined for deceit and double-dealing in the celebrity version of The Traitors.

    The veteran actress and author, 72, has starred in films such as Calendar Girls, Bridget Jones and The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel movies and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.

    On television, she has appeared in Bergerac, Victoria Wood, dinnerladies, Kingdom, Better Things and The Diplomat.

    Mark Bonnar is reported to be lined up for the cast of celebrity traitors.

    The Scottish actor, 56, is well known for his role as Deputy Chief Constable Mike Dryden in Line of Duty.

    He has also played Duncan Hunter in Shetland, Detective Finney in Psychoville, Chris in Catastrophe and Alwyn Evans in The Rig.

    Tameka Empson is said to swapping Albert Square for the round table of The Traitors.

    The actress, 48, is best known for playing Kim Fox in the BBC soap opera EastEnders since 2009.

    She is no stranger to reality television having competed in the 2016 series of Strictly Come Dancing.

    Ruth Codd is among those understood to be heading to Scotland for a celebrity version of The Traitors.

    The Irish actress, 28, made her debut in the Netflix series The Midnight Club and has gone on to star in The Fall of the House of Usher.

    She is about to appear as Phlegma in the action fantasy feature film How to Train Your Dragon.

    Paloma Faith is reported to be among the chosen ones for the new series.

    The Brit Award-winning singer and actress, 43, has had a string of hits including “Only Love Can Hurt Like This”, “Picking Up The Pieces” and “Changing”.

    She has also been a coach and judge on The Voice UK and its junior version.

    Charlotte Church

    Charlotte Church is said to be one of the members of the celebrity congregation at the Traitors’ castle this year.

    Welsh singer, actress and presenter Church, 39, is a soprano who has sold more than 10 million records worldwide.

    She rose to fame singing Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Pie Jesu” over the telephone on This Morning in 1997.

    She presented The Charlotte Church Show from 2006 to 2008 and Charlotte Church’s Dream Build in 2022.

    Singer-songwriter Cat Burns is believed to be one of the celebrities cast in the new version of The Traitors.

    The 24-year-old had a top 10 hit with her 2020 track “Go” and was nominated for the Mercury Prize last year for her album Early Twenties.

    She has she supported Years & Years frontman Olly Alexander and Ed Sheeran on tour.

    Professor David Olusoga is rumoured to be heading north for some celebrity treachery.

    The British-Nigerian historian is a professor of public history at the University of Manchester and television presenter.

    The 55-year-old has fronted shows such as The World’s War: Forgotten Soldiers of Empire, Civilisations, Black and British: A Forgotten History, Britain’s Forgotten Slave Owners and A House Through Time.

    Niko Omilana may be hoping not to get too many votes in celebrity traitors as he is allegedly part of the cast.

    YouTuber Omilana, 27, is known for posting comedy skit, prank and challenge videos and running as an independent candidate in the 2021 London mayoral election and the 2024 general election.

    He was unsuccessful in both elections but has garnered more than 7.7 million subscribers on YouTube.

    When will Celebrity Traitors air?

    No exact date for broadcast has been made public by the BBC for the first UK celebrity series of The Traitors.

    Although, we do know it is only a matter of months away because a BBC spokesperson told The i Paper: “It will air in the autumn.”

    The Traitors fans will need to keep the faith, play the long game and hold on until the nights draw in again.
