DENVER (KDVR) — A Boulder community is offering a reward of up to $50,000 for information on a series of dinnertime burglaries in the White Hawk Ranch neighborhood.
According to the Boulder County Sheriff's Office, investigators believe a coordinated group is targeting homes in the neighborhood and using "advanced surveillance technology and high-level planning" to bypass cameras and alarms.
The neighborhood is in east Boulder near Lafayette.
Per the sheriff's office, the burglaries have taken place at dinnertime.
Boulder County Sheriff Curtis Johnson said the burglars wear masks, gloves, and hoodies. They have also shown the "agility to scale the exterior of multi-story homes." The sheriff's office believes the culprits are between the ages of 18 and 40.
“Burglaries of this kind have occurred in several Boulder County neighborhoods and across the Front Range,” he added. “We urge anyone who might have information to contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers; that information could make a critical difference.”
Other burglaries utilizing advanced technology have been reported across Colorado. In March, the Douglas County Sheriff's Office said they believe suspects used Wi-Fi jammers on home cameras.
"Crime doesn’t respect county lines or city limits,” said Danney Goracke with Metro Denver Crime Stoppers. “While we can't say with certainty that any of these recent incidents are connected, we do know this: our communities have both the resources and the information to protect each other. By submitting an anonymous tip, you could help solve a major case. And now, you may be eligible for a reward of up to $50,000.”

In collaboration with the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers, this is the largest privately funded reward in recent years, per the organization.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867 or online. Tipsters can remain anonymous and can still be eligible for the cash reward of up to $50,000 if their tip leads to an arrest.
