DENVER (KDVR) — The Wheat Ridge Police Department shut down Sheridan Boulevard in the 3900 block on Easter Sunday for a homicide investigation.
The agency said the homicide occurred at about 3:30 p.m. in the 3900 block of Sheridan Boulevard. The area is largely residential, but there is a shopping center located within the same block.
As of 6:15 p.m., Wheat Ridge Police had one suspect in custody for the incident.
Police said there is no danger to the public, but that the case is actively being investigated and information was limited.

Denver, Lakeside and Lakewood police departments also responded to help with the investigation, along with the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office.
