With two years to go until Star Wars: Starfighter hits theaters in May 2027, Ryan Gosling made an appearance alongside director Shawn Levy at Star Wars Celebration in Tokyo.
And even though his mom couldn't be there in person, she did send in a little something to show the crowd that was a bit embarrassing for Gosling as he embarks on his adventure becoming part of the Star Wars universe forever — something that we now know he's waited a very long time for.

Up on the screens, they showed a photo courtesy of Gosling's mom, and even though he might have been blushing a bit, the crowd did go wild for it.
The photo showed off the Star Wars bed sheets that Gosling slept in when he was five years old — which his mom is still holding onto today — proving that he's been preparing for his role for a very long time.
While the photo was on the screen, Gosling talked about what Star Wars has meant to him as a fan and an actor.
