Bhubaneswar: Rama Chandra Satpathy, Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) of Athamallick Block, Angul District, was arrested by Odisha Vigilance for allegedly possessing disproportionate assets (DA).
Following searches at properties linked to Satpathy, Odisha Vigilance uncovered assets including a double-storeyed building, 22 high-value plots, approximately 350 grams of gold ornaments, bank deposits exceeding Rs. 1.16 crore, and Rs. 23.95 lakh in cash recovered from his son-in-law’s residence. Satpathy failed to provide a satisfactory explanation for these assets.
A case has been registered against him under Cuttack Vigilance PS. The investigation is ongoing.
