No, this isn’t satire.
YouTuber and lifestyle influencer Adelaine Morin took to TikTok to pose a question to her followers: “Would you ever spend $1,000 for dinner at Coachella?”
In the clip, which runs a little over a minute long, Morin, 27, walks viewers through the lavish experience.
“I think I found the most expensive place to have dinner in the festival and it’s none other than Nobu. There were absolutely no walk-ins, it was reservations only. I’m so dumb, I accidentally booked my reservation for Weekend 2, but we were able to work it out on the backend because you have to pay it in full. There's no refund,” Morin detailed.

Also, if you show up late, they’ll give you a Bento Box to go and you can’t even eat it here,” the social media personality, who boasts 1.1 million followers on TikTok and 1.1 million followers on Instagram, continued.
“This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience because you can have a Michelin Star dinner and just across from you is the Quasar stage, where so many artists play, and if you timed your reservation right, you can literally be eating Nobu and while Tiësto is playing,” Morin explained, before making it clear that she doesn’t “regret” her decision.

Morin’s vlog-style video has garnered more than 500 comments thus far. While some viewers argued it was OK for her to splurge — some even suggesting that it’s her job as an influencer to do so — the majority of the responses were negative.
“Girl, people can barely afford groceries,” one user wrote. “Insufferable,” added another.
“You do know people have been having a hard time buying eggs, right, babe?” a third person chimed in, while a fourth echoed, “In this economy?!”
