After a busy midweek slate of action in Europe, with five Premier League teams contesting the first leg of their respective quarter-finals, Sunday is busier than usual in the Premier League.

Bet of the day – Newcastle to beat Manchester United and over 2.5 goals – 5/4

Newcastle have been in fine form recently, winning 11 of their last 15 Premier League games, and they should be able to extend that run with a victory over Manchester United.

Only Liverpool have a better record in their last 15 games than the Magpies, who were comfortable winners over the Red Devils when the two teams met at Old Trafford earlier in the season.

Ruben Amorim’s side played out a 2-2 draw away to Lyon on Thursday to leave their Europa League quarter-final delicately balanced going into next week’s second leg.

With the visitors sat 13th in the Premier League table, that chance at silverware will take precedence over this game and they are likely to rest plenty of their starters.

By contrast the hosts have plenty to play for as they are still firmly in the running for the top five and a Champions League spot.

Newcastle’s last eight home league games have gone over 2.5 goals and a repeat is fancied in a victory for Eddie Howe’s side.

Special of the day – Bet builder Wolves v Tottenham – Both teams to score, Jorgen Strand Larsen to have two or more shots and Tottenham to win – 23/4

Tottenham drew 1-1 with Eintracht Frankfurt on Thursday and even though they are likely to rotate, they still look a big price against Wolves.

The Old Gold have lost nine home games this season and star man Matheus Cunha will not start despite returning from suspension after a fall out with manager Vitor Pereira.

Jorgen Strand Larsen is likely to lead the line in his absence and should manage at least two shots. Both teams have scored in five of Wolves’ last six in all competitions and looks likely again.

Long shot of the day – Chelsea to win from behind v Ipswich – 7/1

Chelsea have disappointed in the league recently and they could fall behind against Ipswich. The Tractor Boys beat the Blues in the reverse fixture and have taken the lead in eight of their 15 away games this season.

However their defensive record still leaves plenty to be desired and they could have to settle for a defeat despite that – as they did last week when losing 2-1 to Wolves in a huge relegation battle.

Enzo Maresca’s side were comfortable 3-0 winners over Legia Warsaw in midweek and he was able to rotate for that game so they should be fresh and could record a come from behind success.
