James Anderson, 42, concluded his Test career last summer with a remarkable tally of 704 wickets, making him the most successful fast bowler in Test history.
He began his international journey with England in a one-day match against Australia in December 2002, followed by his Test debut in May 2003.
Over the course of his two-decade-long international career, Anderson represented England in 188 Test matches, 194 ODIs, and 19 T20Is.
The Lancashire legend has now been knighted as part of former Prime Minister Rishi Sunak’s resignation honours list, and he stands out as the only sportsperson to receive such recognition.
