Priscilla Presleyis paying tribute to a very special member of Elvis Presley's family.
On Thursday, April 10, Priscilla took a moment to commemorate the birthday of Elvis' father, Vernon Presley, by sharing a collections of sweet memories between the late music legend and his dad.

Priscilla's Instagram montage was filled with throwback photos from throughout Elvis' life, including pictures of the "Suspicious Minds" singer with both of his parents from when his mom, Gladys Presley, was alive. (Gladys died in 1958, when Elvis was 23.)
In addition to several sweet photos of just Elvis and his dad, the montage also featured shots of Vernon with Elvis and Priscilla's daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, when she was just a young girl.
Priscilla also appeared in some of the flashback photos, noting in her Instagram caption that she had "a wonderful relationship" with Vernon.

"Today would have been Elvis’ dad, Vernon’s, birthday," Priscilla, 79, added in her post. "I always remember the stories he told me on just how poor the family was and what a struggle it was to put food on the table. That ended when Elvis because famous. ❤️"
Elvis preceded his father in death after his tragic passing at age 42 in 1977. Vernon died two years later at age 63.
"Vernon is half responsible for creating a legend and I thank him for it!" one of Priscilla's followers added in the Instagram comments. "The world would not have been the same without Elvis in it!"
"I absolutely adore this collection of pictures of Vernon Presley's family! ? Each one brings back such beautiful memories of all of you," someone else added.
