In her GMA interview, Ms. Rachel explained that she “thinks about a lot of things” when creating content to share with other families.
When it comes to pointing at or touching body parts like her nose or eyes, Ms. Rachel said she’s “encouraging imitation, and imitation is a building block of speech. I’m encouraging pointing, which is a milestone, and being silly, which is engaging.”
She said her high-pitched, “sing-songy tone” is meant to mimic what most parents do, which is raise their voice when talking to babies or toddlers. “That is helpful for their language development,” she said, noting that she was “bullied” for her voice as a child despite it now being her “superpower.”
Ms. Rachel on Being a Stay-at-Home Mom
Ms. Rachel said she left her education job to be a stay-at-home mom to her son. “That was wonderful,” she told Today in 2024. “I enjoyed that time so much.”
It was during those days at home with Thomas that she further realized the impact music classes had on young children. “So, I started doing more music with babies and toddlers and then when my son had a speech delay … I wanted to put these techniques and strategies into a show for him and other kids who needed that.”
Ms. Rachel on Screen Time
Ms. Rachel believes it’s all about “balance.” She told GMA her team tries to “provide the most helpful content we can that models all these wonderful techniques, songs, games that they can use away from the screen.”
She added that parents need “less judgement and shame” when it comes to utilizing screens, saying supporting families and their individual stories is very important.

Ms. Rachel said writing songs and working with her husband Aron, a musical director for Aladdin on Broadway and a composer, is so much fun as he’s her “best friend.”
“When we got married we also vowed to support each other’s dreams and Aron has gone so above and beyond with this,” she wrote via Instagram in 2024. “I remember dating him and realizing being around him made me a better version of myself as well. He lifted me up. Also has helped me through two masters degrees in education now! .”
She continued, “Sometimes I get teary watching Aron with our son because I am so moved by seeing such an involved, fun, caring dad. I grew up with the most incredible single mom (who’s now married to my wonderful step dad) but it’s not something I had as a kid and it’s just so wonderful and so important. Sometimes I’m still worried that I don’t deserve this but I do, you do — and it’s possible and wonderful. Thank you for everything, Aron. You’re my soulmate and I love you so, so, so much!”
