Grammy-winning singer/songwriter Lizzo joined Seth Meyers on Late Night on Wednesday (April 9), where she stunned her fans in a sheer black dress.
When she took the stage, Lizzo ran into the audience to high-five her fans and then struck a pose to show off her "wonderful outfit," as Meyers called it, where she revealed that it's part of her own Fabletics collection, Yitty by Lizzo.
"This is the 'hot mess dress' and the 'nearly naked bodysuit,' y'all," Lizzo informed the audience as they whistled and hooted to show their appreciation of the body-positive musician.
Fans who couldn't be there in person hopped into the YouTube comments express their appreciation for Lizzo, with one fan writing, "Her entrance left me with a huge smile ? she’s fabulous!"
Another fan added, "Lizzo looks terrific ❤ Good for her!!"
"Girl looks fantastic! I was at 220ish last year and through being more active from gardening and eating better I'm hanging around 183. I feel amazing. You don't need to be thin to be healthy, you can still be a little heavier by a medical standard and still feel great. I'm proud of her for getting to that point. ?" wrote a third fan.
Lizzo and Meyers also had the audience rolling with a story about how she secretly sent flowers to Meyers' dad to apologize for calling him a "bitch."
Apparently, it all started because Lizzo was part of one of Meyers' specials where he goes "day drinking" with a celebrity, and once alcohol was involved, everything just spiraled from there.
In the clip from day drinking, Meyers called his dad Larry so that Lizzo could say hello and she ended up yelling, "Bye, bitch!" very loudly on the voicemail. Later, Lizzo felt bad about it, so she tracked down Larry's address and sent him flowers to apologize.
"I did not know you did this. I found out you did this from my dad. You got my dad's address and you sent flowers to my parents' house with a note that said, 'Dear Larry, I'm sorry I calld you a bitch," recounts Meyers, as both Lizzo and the audience crack up.
Lizzo will make her fourth appearance on Saturday Night Live on Saturday, April 12, alongside host Jon Hamm. Late Night with Seth Meyers airs on week nights at 12:35 a.m. ET/PT on NBC.
