North Dakota State NFL Draft Picks

The pre-eminent program in FCS college football continues to stock rosters at the next level. Here’s a look at North Dakota State NFL Draft history.

It took North Dakota State’s NFL Draft picks during the Bison’s FCS era to catch up to their dynasty, but they’ve soared since like no other program in the Division I subdivision.

Offensive lineman Cody Mauch’s selection in the 2023 NFL Draft – by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the second round – was NDSU’s 15th since its move to Division I in 2004, and its 12th since 2014 (five more than any other FCS program).

Another O-lineman, Grey Zabel, is projected to be the Bison’s next draft pick in an early round of the 2025 draft, scheduled for April 24-26 in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

NDSU won the first of a record five straight FCS national championships in the 2011 season and has 10 overall, also the all-time high.
