Frito-Lay, one of the most widely-recognized chip brands in the US, has issued a desperate recall on one of its products.

PepsiCo has spoken out about the mishap that impacted products in 13 states across the country.

Frito-Lay has issued the recall over a limited number of bags of Tostitos Cantina Traditional Yellow Corn Tortilla Chips.

It is thought that the bags could contain nacho cheese tortilla chips, therefore containing undeclared milk.

Those with an allergy or a severe sensitivity to milk could face a serious life-threatening reaction if they consumed it.

The affected products were sold in Walmart and Target, two of the biggest retailers in the US.

The 13 oz. bags have a Guaranteed Fresh Date of 20 MAY 2025 on the front.

The dangerous items also have specific manufacturing codes on them:

    471106504 – 18 13:XX  471106505 – 85 13:XX 47110650 – 85 13:XX 471106507 – 85 13:XX

It is important to note that the XX is any number from 30 up to 55.

Those who believe they have purchased one of the defective bags are advised to not eat the chips.

This goes especially if you suffer with a sensitivity to milk.

The US Sun has contacted PepsiCo for comment on the recall.
