The PBKS batter first stamped his authority with a 19-ball fifty, and then there was no looking back as he took on R. Ashwin and later Matheesha Pathirana, becoming a hero for PBKS at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.
Coming in to bat first after winning the toss, PBKS kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Prabhsimran Singh departed in the second over without scoring a run, followed by skipper Shreyas Iyer’s dismissal in the next. However, Priyansh Arya took charge and played a stunning knock. With this incredible hundred, he has etched his name into the elite list of players who have scored the fastest centuries in IPL history.
