The eight-time Tony Award-winning musical “Hadestown” by Anais Mitchell follows the ancient Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, and the story of Hades and Persephone, according to the show’s description.
Set in a world of industrial decay, the show explores the complexities of human desire, power and the struggles between hope and despair through themes of love, sacrifice and fate, the description said. The Greeley West production features a live band, performing the musical score that blends genres like folk, jazz and blues.
“Hadestown” was the most honored show of the 2018-19 Broadway season.
“To the world we dream about and the one we live in now,” the description said.
