Benedict Cumberbatch underwent a major transformation for his newest role, leaving him utterly unrecognizable in the trailer for his film The Phoenician Scheme.
On April 7, the trailer dropped for the upcoming Wes Anderson flick, starring Benicio del Toro and Mia Threapleton as a father-daughter pair with a complicated relationship.

Cumberbatch, 48, plays a character named Uncle Nubar in the movie. Fans can catch a quick glimpse of his style switch-up about two-thirds of the way into the trailer.
"One thing you'll never know because you can't," Uncle Nubar said solemnly. "The truth."
As Uncle Nubar, Cumberbatch sports a black striped suit with slicked-back gray hair, a full, gray beard, and equally silver, bushy eyebrows. His piercing blue eyes are the only feature giving away the actor's identity.
