Having graduated in 2006, Qerim still likes to big up her alma mater.

On the day after UConn’s brilliant win, Qerim turned up to the First Take studio suitably dressed to celebrate.

The ESPN star wore a white UConn jersey tucked into blue jeans.

Qerim went for Bueckers’ No.5 jersey, celebrating the college basketball legend.

Posting a picture of herself in the studio, she wrote: “Basketball capital of the world! Congrats again @UConnWBB!!! Too fun to watch.”

Coach Geno Auriemma guided UConn to their 12th national title, having been in charge for all of them.

UConn was able to topple the defending champion South Carolina Gamecocks 82-59.

Posting on Instagram after the game, Qerim wrote, “@genoauriemma the winningest coach of all-time…

“After 2 injured seasons…so happy @paigebueckers got hers!”

Auriemma has been in charge of the Huskies since 1985, meaning he was already a veteran presence at the university even during Qerim’s college days.

Commenting on X, fans loved Qerim showing support for her alma mater.

    One wrote, “Looking 5 star.”

While a second called the pic, “gorgeous”.

A third gushed, “molly knows ball!”

And another added, “You make me wanna be a UConn fan so bad.”

Molly Qerim's life in the spotlight

Molly Qerim has risen through the ranks to become one of the biggest stars at ESPN.

The popular sports host began her media career in 2006 with ESPN and spent four years with the network.

She then covered college basketball and football for CBS Sports Network in New York.

Qerim balanced that with hosting duties for NFL Network in Los Angeles – fronting NFLAM and NFL Fantasy Live.

The host returned to ESPN in 2015 and immediately took the role of First Take anchor.

And Qerim has been an ever-present, popular host of the daily sports debate show ever since.

Bueckers, 23, guided UConn to a national title during her fifth and final college season.
