If you're a United Airlines frequent flier, you can expect to see some big changes to their onboard food and beverage service in the month of April.
The airline is rolling out seven new features in their Polaris, domestic first, and economy classes, which could make those long-haul flights a lot more bearable.
For starters, coffee lovers will be glad to know they're upgrading from their current blend. In honor of Earth Day, starting on April 22, they'll be serving illy Arabica Selection Braille Cerrado Mineiro. (Sure sounds fancy enough.)
They're also serving up a new Bloody Mary mix and tomato juice, which are from the brand, The Pickle House.
Flying economy? There will be new selections for purchase on the "Bistro on Board" menu for flights of 1190 miles or longer. They're a nice upgrade from a traditional airline snack box. Chorizo breakfast tacos, anyone?
Coach class will also offer three meal choices on flights between the U.S. and Europe: chicken, beef, or vegetarian.
Those seated in domestic first class can also pre-order signature entrees, which vary based on the airport of origin. For example, flights out of Houston can enjoy shrimp Creole, while those out of LAX can dine on Korean bbq short rib.
Oh, and for dessert in domestic first class? Indulge in red velvet banana pudding from Magnolia Bakery. Mmm!
And if you're lucky enough to snag a Polaris seat? Get ready for some new additions to the wine list. You can enjoy blends from Heitz Cellar, which is an organic winery out of Napa Valley.
In addition to leveling up their in-flight food and beverage service, United also recently announced three new destinations in the Pacific: Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, and Adelaide.
