Jeff Ross isn't letting an "entire night" spent in the emergency room get him down.
The comedian revealed alongside a startling photo on Instagram on the morning of Sunday, April 6, that he suffered a sudden and severe allergic reaction following his most recent set in Mill Valley, Calif.
In a snapshot from his hospital bed, Ross showed off significant swelling on the left side of his lips and in both eyelids, which he attributed to a burrata ice cream that a nearby restaurant's owner offered him to celebrate the opening night of his one-man show, Take A Banana For The Ride.

"It was delicious. Seriously yummy," he declared. "But my lips blew up and I spent the entire night in the ER."
"It was my first allergic reaction ever," he added, calling the timing "pretty remarkable" in light of the way he's "constantly shoving whatever food is in front of me into my face."
Ross assured fans that the "show must go on," set on performing his schedule set in the San Francisco area on Sunday, April 6, and inviting his followers to roast his appearance. "DESPITE LOOKING LIKE MICKEY ROURKE at the end of 'The Wrestler'… I WILL BE TAKING A NAP AND BACK ON STAGE HERE IN MILL VALLEY NEAR SAN FRANCISCO AT 730pm TONIGHT. ???," he concluded.

While fans would likely normally shower the comedian with concern over the state of his appearance, they were happy to oblige with his request.
"Didn’t even notice a difference," one commented.
"Jeff’s makeup regime as for his new role as 'Jabba The Hut Gets Botox'. ❤️❤️❤️," someone else quipped.
"Your work in the 6 Flags commercials still holds up. ❤️," another joked, while someone else suggested he looked like "Nick Kroll and Judd Apatow had a baby."
"Your show title has been changed to Take an EpiPen for the Ride," they added.
A few sent their well wishes, too, with one writing, "O M G ! - get well ❤️? soon Jeff..."
"Oh no! So sorry. We loved seeing you last night. Thanks for the jokes & the heartfelt walk through your life ❤️," another fan said.
