Charles Barkley is a studio analyst during the NCAA Tournament, but he doesn’t hide the fact that he is cheering Auburn no matter what. Barkley is 1 of the best basketball players in Auburn basketball history, and is currently 1 of the biggest names in sports media.
He was in San Antonio cheering on his Auburn Tigers during their battle against Florida in the Final Four. It was a back-and-forth game that had fans all across the country on the edge of their seats. Both teams had moments where they looked like they would win, but in the end, the Gators advanced to the national championship by a score of 79-73.
CBS Sports shared a video of Barkley going through all the emotions of the game. He can be seen celebrating key moments early before eventually falling apart, much in a similar fashion to his beloved Tigers on the court.

— CBS Sports (@CBSSports) April 6, 2025The Tigers had 1 of the best seasons in the history of the program, as they finished as the SEC regular season champions and the No. 1 overall seed in the NCAA Tournament. This is only the 2nd time that the Tigers have made the Final Four, with the other being in 2018 when they lost to eventual national champion Virginia.
The loss ends the college career of Johni Broome, who Barkley said weeks back could be the best player in Auburn history if the Tigers won it all. Despite the result, Barkley and all of Auburn fans will remember this run for a long time.
