NFL teams planning for Arch Manning to enter the draft next year have been sent a warning.
The Texas quarterback, 19, is eligible for the NFL Draft in 2026.
Sophomore Manning will become the team’s starting quarterback in the 2025 season.
He takes over from Quinn Ewers, 22, who is entering the draft in Green Bay, Wisconsin later this month.
Teams often have eyes on future years to determine the depth of talent at positions.
But ESPN insider Adam Schefter warned them not to bank on Manning entering 2026.
“First of all, there’s no guarantees that Arch Manning’s coming out after next year,” Schefter said on Get Up.
“It sounds like he certainly could be staying beyond next year.
“I’m not a college football insider, but none of the Mannings ever went out early.
“And I don’t know with NIL money being what it is why Arch would do that.
“So, all of this conversation about tanking for Arch next year, he could be in the draft in 2027, not even next year.”
Manning is tipped for a big football career and to follow in family footsteps.
His uncles are Peyton and Eli Manning – who have won two Super Bowls each.
And Arch looks to be on his own road to stardom as the next Manning to play football.
ON3 put his name, image and likeness valuation at $6.5 million.
The teen star was recently part of a commercial with dad cooper and grandfather Archie.
Archie played quarterback in the NFL from 1971 to 1984 and was named to two Pro Bowls.
And the family patriarch played a key role in the new commercial starring grandson Arch.
The advert was called “Who’s Manning the car?” and in partnership with Uber.
It was to promote a self-driving taxi called “Waymo.”
Cam Ward is widely expected to be the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s draft.
He is tipped to be joined in the first round by Shedeur Sanders and Jaxson Dart.
