Ginger Zee is opening up about a "terrifying" situation she recently found herself in.
On April 1, the beloved Good Morning America meteorologist informed fans that her “plane took off from LGA” but turned around almost immediately and “had an emergency landing at JFK because of a hydraulics system failure.”

“Fire trucks all around but thankfully just precaution. Many thanks to these heroes who are always ready,” she shared in the Instagram post, which also featured a glimpse of the commotion on the tarmac from inside the plane.

“So grateful to be on the ground. Hope you all have a safe day too,” she concluded the post, which got a huge response from fans ranging from concern about her safety to relief that everything turned out fine.

"Delta flight DL856 landed safely at 12:30 p.m. at JFK with no reported injuries or further incident," a representative for New York's LaGuardia Airport informed People.
Soon enough, Zee was back in action covering another “dangerous situation”—a “once-in-a-generation” storm spawning tornadoes, flooding and more.
