In March, Mountain Dew shared the news that it was making an alcoholic version of the cherry-citrus beverage and fans went wild, taking to social media to declare that it’s “so good.”

“I am ready,” said a third fan as more flooded the comments on Hard Mountain Dew’s Instagram announcement, asking for the beverage to become available in their home states. “Rip the bandaid and release everywhere,” one fan wrote, referring to the fact that the drink was initially soft-launched in New York.
In a statement shared with Parade, Mountain Dew revealed that the Code Red flavor will join the Hard Mountain Dew mix pack, which also features hard versions of the original Mountain Dew flavor, Mountain Dew Livewire, and Mountain Dew Baja Blast.
Code Red will be replacing the current watermelon flavor in the mix pack, and fans over on Reddit said they “can't wait” for the switch. “Good, all the Hard Dews should be alcoholic versions of real Dew flavors, not generic ones. Like why wasn't Hard Watermelon instead Hard Major Melon to begin with?” asked another redditor.
