Sir Alex Ferguson is one of the biggest horse racing fans going, and he will be at the Grand National this weekend.
The Manchester United legend is said to own as many as 32 horses, and a couple are set to be in action at Aintree.
The Grand National is one of the biggest sporting events in the UK every year, and it is a must-see event for Ferguson.
But will he have any horses involved? talkSPORT.com investigates.
Does Sir Alex have any horses at the National?
The simple answer is that Ferguson doesn’t have any horses competing in the Grand National.
He didn’t have any in 2024 either, but there are plenty of other high-calibre races at Aintree on Grand National day, and Ferguson will have two horses involved.
The William Hill Top Price Guarantee Handicap Hurdle takes places at 1:20pm on Saturday, April 5.
In this race, Ferguson has Monmiral running.
He shares this horse with John Hales, and jockey Harry Cobden has described Monmiral as the ‘best juvenile’ he’s sat on, which is high praise.
Monmiral has enjoyed some great success in the pastgettyAnd then immediately after the Grand National, Ferguson has another horse in action.
In the Rosconn Group Maghull Novices’ Chase at 5pm, L’Eau Du Sud runs.
As it stands, this horse is the favourite to win that race, with only six other competitors.
That horse is trained by Dan Skelton and will be ridden by Harry Skelton.
In this race, there is a total of £111,684 up for grabs, with the winner taking £67,524 of that.
So if L’Eau Du Sud can be successful, Sir Alex would walk away with a nice bonus.
Grand National 2025: Date and how to follow

It is expected to get started at around 4pm.
The race is run over four miles and two furlongs and is just under two circuits of the Aintree Racecourse in Liverpool.
