PALM BEACH, Fla. — Broncos fans can expect to see the team’s retro uniforms more frequently in the future.
Denver president Damani Leech on Monday said the NFL “refreshed” its uniform policy, allowing teams to wear their throwbacks and retro uniforms four times per season rather than three. Teams will have more flexibility with their alternate helmets, too.
“That’ll be great, more opportunities to wear the throwbacks,” Leech said.
The Broncos in 2024 wore their 1977 “Orange Crush” retro uniforms twice and also their alternate “Midnight Navy” once.
Now, Leech said, “As an example, we could wear our white helmets with orange-on-orange pants and jerseys. So things like that will just add more flexibility to the closet and hopefully be exciting for the players, but also for the fans.”

“So our throwback is orange, and you’re still limited in that,” Leech said. “The issue is you can now wear your alternate or throwback four times rather than three. And you have flexibility on the helmet.”
