College baseball rankings: Tennessee strengthens hold on top spot in D1Baseball’s latest (March 31)

College baseball rankings are getting updated as we hit the end of March, including a fresh top 25 from the folks at D1Baseball.

On Monday, those rankings were dropped with Tennessee continuing its run at the top spot. The Vols ran their current winning streak to 6 games, including a 4-0 week and a 3-game sweep on the road at South Carolina. Tony Vitello’s group has responded to their first adversity impressively to move to 26-2 overall and 8-1 in SEC play.

Arkansas and Georgia continue to follow Tennessee at No. 2 and No. 3 overall after impressive weeks. The Razorbacks (at Vanderbilt) and the Bulldogs (vs. Auburn) both swept ranked SEC foes over the weekend.

Texas, LSU, Alabama, Ole Miss and Oklahoma round out a total of 8 SEC teams inside the top 10 nationally. Florida State and Clemson out of the ACC are the only non-SEC programs.

The race to the 2025 College World Series in Omaha will be heating up when we turn the calendar to April, and the SEC has a loaded group of national title contenders.
