King Charles III is prioritizing his health, canceling two international getaways he had planned with Queen Camilla just days after he was taken to the hospital.
Late last week, the 76-year-old monarch was admitted to the hospital for side effects related to his ongoing treatment for the unspecified type of cancer he was diagnosed with in 2024, as Parade previously reported.

Though his hospital visit on Thursday, March 26, was brief, with BBC reporting Charles later returned to Clarence House that same day to make calls from his study and work on state papers, the sudden turn of events resulted in the cancelation of several events scheduled to take place that day, as well as some public engagements he was set to appear on Friday, March 28.
Parade is now learning the British royal has canceled far more than just a few public engagements, but two holidays he had planned with his wife of nearly 20 years.
According to new reports from GB News and The Sun, the couple will not be enjoying a luxury spa resort in Africa as initially planned. Charles has also pulled out of his annual trip to Romania for hiking in the countryside this spring.
"He adores Romania and looks forward to visiting every year, but it would have involved just too much walking and he can’t face it right now," a source told The Sun.
Though the king prefers to keep much of his health battle private, at the time the news of Charles' trip to the London Clinic broke, palace officials described it as nothing more than an "unscheduled hospital visit" and a "minor bump in the road."
He also appeared to be in good health when he was photographed leaving Clarence House in London on Friday, March 28, one day after the incident.
A rep for the royal did not immediately return Parade's request for comment. We will update this with their response.
