Jimmy Fallon pulled off another surprise undercover subway performance on Wednesday, March 26 morning with another special guest.
This time British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran joined The Tonight Show host for the secret subway session that began around 11 a.m. at the 47th–50th Streets–Rockefeller Center station.

The pair, who looked like an emo duo wearing black clothing, grey beanies and sunglasses, were captured on video performing a cover of Chappell Roan’s “Pink Pony Club” before they took off their wigs and shades to reveal themselves.
Sheeran then played the crowd gathered around a take of his new single, “Azizam,” which is due for release on April 4.
Fallon has pulled off similar stunts with Bad Bunny, Green Day, Miley Cyrus, Adam Levine and U2.
Fans commented on video of the pop-up performance posted on TikTok. “Ed Sheeran is just always out here doing side quests,” wrote one.
“???? Jimmy is so recognizable ??,” commented another.
“I feel like Ed is having so much fun,” another weighed in.
Others focused on Fallon’s singing, with one writing, “Jimmy is so good at harmonizing it's actually impressive.” Another added, “Why am I so into jimmy’s lower harmony.”
Another was so excited they posted their comment in all caps. “BRO I DID NOT RECOGNIZE ED AT FIRST THEN I HEARD HIS VOICE HEHEH??.”
