RUSSELL Wilson shared a simple message amid his future NFL destination uncertainty.
The 36-year-old played with the Pittsburgh Steelers last season as the team’s head coach, Mike Tomlin, reportedly made a decision concerning Aaron Rodgers.
The Steelers hosted Rodgers on a free agent visit last Friday.
No deal was consumated, but Tomlin reportedly has Rodgers as his “number one choice” to start in Steel City
In wake of the news, Wilson posted on social media and sent an eight-word message.
“Relentless Confidence. Don’t ever stop believing in you!” the 10-time Pro Bowler wrote on X.
NFL fans reacted to Wilson’s message, with some writing that he should sign with a respective team.
“Get ready to learn Cleveland pal,” one joked.
“I hope to see you with the Giants next season,” another said.
“Sign with the Steelers, bro. End this anticipation,” a third wrote.
“Good luck with the Giants,” a fourth added.
The Steelers appear to be the favorites for Rodgers, who was released by the New York Jets this month after two disappointing seasons with Gang Green, while Wilson seems like a Plan B option.
Wilson started 11 games last season and helped lead the Steelers to the playoffs.
However, the team lost their last five games and were a first-round playoff exit.
Wilson finished the season with 2,482 yards, 16 touchdowns, and five interceptions.
If the Steelers don’t sign Wilson, he will have other options which include the Tennesee Titans, New York Giants and Cleveland Browns.
The latter two teams visited with him this month but he left both of their facilities without a deal.
The Giants did sign veteran Jameis Winston to a two-year contract last week.
But they are still interested in Rodgers, the New York Post reported, and haven’t been ruled out to sign Wilson.
The Browns been been linked with veteran Carson Wentz.
However, both the Browns and Giants could be interested in selecting a quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft with their No. 2 and No. 3 overall picks, respectively.
