THE actor Jan Schwieterman who was best known for appearing in the movie Good Burger has died at the age of 52.
Schwieterman, from Indiana, died on February 28 after a battle with stage four cancer.
He died at the Mercy hospital in Washington, Missouri.
Schwieterman played Kurt Bozwell in the 1997 PG flick Good Burger – a Nickelodeon movie that also starred Kel Mitchell and Kenan Thompson.
His character was the owner of a rival fast food joint.
He also appeared in series such as Night Man and the 2000 movie Fallen Arches, which was directed by Ron Cosentino.
Schwieterman appeared in an episode of ER in 1994 and four episodes of the TV series Felicity between 1998 and 1999.
Following his appearance in Fallen Arches, the screen star had a seven-year hiatus.
His final credited role was in the 2007 movie Along the Way, which starred Briel DiCristofaro, Andrew Bowen, and Michael Cade.
Away from acting, Schwieterman loved to travel, according to a family obit.
“He has traveled to many countries throughout his life, most recently to Thailand.
“He was an artist of photography and painting, they said.
“He studied martial arts and loved playing Dungeons and Dragons.”
The actor shared snaps from his trips abroad.
In October, he told fans on social media he had been in Bangkok for over a year.
His social media shows posts from trips to Cambodia and the Yosemite National Park in California.
But before Schwieterman turned to acting, he was an Eagle Scout.
His family said he was proud of being an Eagle Scout.
