2025 NCAA DIII Swimming and Diving Championships
March 19-22, 2025 Location: Greensboro Aquatic Center, Greensboro, NC Times: Prelims 10:00 AM / Finals 6:00 PM (ET) Defending Champs: Kenyon women (1x) & Emory men (3x) Psych Sheet Live Streaming on NCAA.com Live Results “NCAA DIII Championships” on Meet Mobile Recaps Prelims: Day 1 | Day 2 Finals: Day 1For those unfamiliar with swimming terminology, the concept of “Ups” and “Downs” is a good way to track which teams performed best at prelims. In prelims, swimmers qualify for one of two finals heats: the top 8 finishers make the A final and places 9 through 16, the B final. In finals, swimmers are locked into their respective final, meaning a swimmer in the B heat (spots 9-16) can only place as high as 9th or as low as 16th, even if they put up the fastest or slowest time of any heat in the final.
With that in mind, we’ll be tracking “Ups” and “Downs” after each prelims session. “Up” refers to swimmers in the A final, and “Down” to swimmers in the B final.

NYU had a very strong morning, putting 11 swimmers through to finals, seven into the ‘A’ finals. They currently sit in fourth overall, but they could find themselves in first after today if their finals swims pan out the way they could.
MIT had the 2nd most ‘A’ finals qualifiers at 6 total, five ‘A’. They will be trying to pass Kenyon in the overall team rankings to move into 2nd overall, or potentially first depending on NYUs performance.
Kenyon did not have an incredibly strong day, only putting five swimmers into finals, only two of which were ‘A’ finalists.

Chicago swam excellent this morning, putting themselves in a position to move up significantly in the point rankings. They won’t be able to pass Dehnison and Kenyon, who were far ahead yesterday, but they should be able to put themselves in striking distance.
Denison did not have an incredibly strong day, only putting three swimmers into the final for a projected 45 points, but they should stay in the lead due to their absolutely dominant performance on day 1.
