Several months after moving from the United States to Spain as a family, actor Richard Gere’s wife, Alejandra Silva, is sharing a glimpse inside their lives.
On Wednesday, March 19, Silva shared photos of Gere with their two sons in celebration of his first Spanish Father’s Day.
“Happy 1st Spanish Father’s Day to the best dad of the world,” Silva, 42, wrote via Instagram.
Gere, 75, and Silva have been married since 2018 after meeting each other while visiting Italy in 2014.

Silva, who is originally from Spain, moved to America to be with Gere while he continued to work as an actor.
In a recent interview with Jimmy Fallon, Gere said it was time to return the favor amid their decision to move back to Spain.
“My wife is Spanish, and she gave me about seven years here, so we’re going to spend some years in Madrid with her family,” he said in November 2024. “Our kids are bilingual, so they’re going to flourish there.”
Earlier this year, Gere and Silva opened up about their new life in Spain while talking with Elle España, who described Gere as a family man.

“Richard is a very devoted and present father. He loves to read them stories. It seems like an idyllic photo, but it’s true. He’s a great dad,” Silva shared.
“He doesn’t cook,” she added. “I do it, but when I cook, he plays the guitar.”
Together, Gere and Silva share 6-year-old Alexander and 4-year-old James.

“The truth is that you are seeing us in our momentum,” Gere told Elle España of being in Spain. “We are happier than ever. She, because she is at home and because, if she is happy, I am happy.”

“We have the same values,” Silva added after calling Gere her “soul mate.”
“We see the world in the same way and from the first moment we felt like we have known each other for a long time. And this only happens once, if it happens at all … We were united by the karma of our past lives,” she continued.
Silva and Gere rarely share glimpses of their family public. The Father’s Day celebration comes after Silva shared a look into their family vacation to the Maldives in February.
