Man United beat struggling Leicester 3-0 , Heaven Suffers Injury Blow

Manchester United secured a convincing 3-0 victory over Leicester City in a Premier League match that highlighted the contrasting fortunes of both clubs. Goals from Rasmus Højlund, Alejandro Garnacho, and Bruno Fernandes propelled United to a much-needed win, moving them into 13th place in the league standings . In contrast, Leicester's defeat marked their seventh consecutive home loss without scoring, leaving them perilously close to the relegation zone. This match not only reflected United's resurgence but also underscored Leicester's ongoing struggles.

Looking to win back-to-back matches in all competitions for the first time since late January, United went ahead in the 28th minute through Højlund's first goal since mid-December.

The beleaguered hosts never threatened an equaliser, with Garnacho ending the match as a contest in the 67th minute -- the first time the Argentina international has found the net since the end of November in all competitions.

Fernandes put the icing on the cake with a fine late third as United cruised to a win that moved Ruben Amorim's side up to 13th while 19th-placed Leicester slipped closer to relegation.

The 30-year-old has become a weak link in United’s defence, and we are not surprised that the club have no plans to extend his contract, expiring at the end of June.

Harry Maguire and Leny Yoro are on the sidelines at the moment with injuries. Hopefully, the central defensive duo will be available to return after the international break.

Young sensation Ayden Heaven picked up a huge injury scare against the Foxes, but there could be positive news. He was walking out of the stadium with a foot brace.

Heaven put in an extremely impressive and mature performance after coming on as a second-half substitute in last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal to replace the injured Leny Yoro — so much so that Amorim backed him to start against Real Sociedad on Thursday in the second leg of a European knockout tie when other coaches may have been hesitant to throw such an inexperienced player in at the deep end.

However, the triumph was marred by an injury sustained by young defender Ayden Heaven. Following a collision with Patson Daka during the second half, Heaven was stretchered off the pitch amid concerns for his health . Manager Ruben Amorim expressed his distress regarding Heaven’s condition, noting that he was unable to communicate after the incident. As of now, the severity of Heaven’s injury remains undetermined and will require further evaluation.
