There are several family dynasties in Hollywood — the Wayans, the Coppolas and, of course, the Schwarzeneggers. The Schwarzenegger clan includes patriarch Arnold Schwarzenegger, his son Patrick Schwarzenegger (currently starring in HBO’s critically acclaimed third season of The White Lotus) and daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger, an author and animal advocate who also happens to be actor Chris Pratt’s wife.
Both Pratt, who is starring in Netflix’s The Electric State, out this Friday, and Schwarzenegger keep pretty active social media accounts, sharing glimpses of their professional and personal lives together. Recently, they hit the red carpet for the premiere of his Russo Brothers sci-fi film, which also features Millie Bobby Brown and Ke Huy Quan.

Here's everything you need to know about Chris Pratt's wife Katherine Schwarzenegger and their relationship:
Who is Chris Pratt's Wife Katherine Schwarzenegger?
Born to Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver on Dec. 13, 1989 in Los Angeles, Katherine is the eldest of five. Her middle name, Eunice, honors her maternal grandmother, who was the younger sister of late president John F. Kennedy. Despite being raised in a political powerhouse family, Schwarzenegger has expressed that she has no interest in following in those footsteps.
Instead, Schwarzenegger has built a steady literary empire, beginning in 2010, when she published her New York Times bestseller at 21 years old, a self-help book titled Rock What You've Got: Secrets to Loving Your Inner and Outer Beauty from Someone Who's Been There and Back. After graduating from the University of Southern California, she followed up her debut with I Just Graduated…Now What?, another advice book that features interviews from prominent people about how to navigate post-collegiate life. Since then, she has also published her first children’s book, Maverick and Me, about fostering and adopting dogs, as well as The Gift of Forgiveness: Inspiring Stories from Those Who Have Overcome the Unforgivable. Her latest book, Good Night, Sister, a bedtime tale celebrating sisterhood, was released in 2023.
Outside of her authorship, Schwarzenegger is a prominent advocate for animal rescuing, serving as an ambassador for Best Friends Animal Society and the ASPCA, per her website. She is also a global ambassador for the Special Olympics. Every week, she hosts an Instagram Live series called BDA (Before, During & After) Baby, featuring interviews with such guests as Jessica Alba, Al Roker, Teresa Palmer and more, covering topics of childcare.

How did Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger meet?
Schwarzenegger and Pratt began dating in 2018, after having met each other at Zoe Church, which counts among its attendees Justin Bieber. The Jurassic World actor confirmed the news around that time, saying, “We met at church! There’s a lot of kismet, a lot of connections, but that is where we met.”
The two were first spotted together during Father’s Day of that year, having a casual picnic lunch in Santa Barbara, California. The occasion marked the first such holiday for Pratt following his divorce from actress Anna Faris, with whom he split in 2017 after nearly nine years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences.” The two have remained on good terms and share joint custody of a son.
After Pratt was seen cozying up to Schwarzenegger’s family, including hanging out with her brother Patrick, he announced that the two had gotten engaged in January of 2019, after less than a year of dating.
"Sweet Katherine, so happy you said yes!" he wrote on Instagram. "I'm thrilled to be marrying you. Proud to live boldly in faith with you. Here we go!"
In 2023, he told Drew Barrymore on her talk show that he met Schwarzenegger at a time when he was “really struggling and felt really broken.” After “finding a higher power” and leaning into faith, he said he met “the woman of my dreams.”

Do Chris Pratt and Katherine Schwarzenegger have children?
Pratt and Schwarzenegger share three children: daughter Lyla Maria Schwarzenegger Pratt born Aug. 6, 2020; daughter Eloise Christina Schwarzenegger Pratt born May 21, 2022 and son Ford Fitzgerald Schwarzenegger Pratt born Nov. 8, 2024.
Additionally, Pratt is the father to 12-year-old Jack, whom he co-parents alongside ex-wife Faris. Jack was born nine weeks premature, and both Pratt and Faris have been candid about the challenges they have faced as a family, with the first weeks of their son’s life having been spent in the neonatal intensive care unit.
"The day came when I got to take Jack home, and the first years were filled with doctor's appointments, five surgeries, physical therapy, a lot of laughter — because Jack was and is the most adorable cutest thing I could ever have imagined," Faris shared in 2021. That year, Pratt also signaled that Jack may be interested in following in his parents’ footsteps toward Tinseltown, saying his son had been to “a ton of sets” and even tried out some stunts.

Pratt has also raved about his eldest son’s role as great big brother to his eldest daughter, then aged one: "Their birthdays are in August, he's gonna be 9 and she'll be a year old. He's really great with her. He just loves her. He's so gentle and sweet. She always wants to pull his glasses off his face and he's very patient with her. You know, he's a great big brother."
While Pratt and Schwarzenegger may be in the spotlight, they’re big on keeping their children’s lives private for now. A year after Lyla was born, Schwarzenegger went on the Today show to discuss the decision, saying, "I think that one of the greatest gifts that my parents ever gave me and my siblings is the gift of privacy and having a really normal upbringing, or as normal of an upbringing as possible. We were allowed to be our own people and have our own identity and kind of choose to step into whatever form of being public we wanted to when we felt comfortable. And I think that was such an incredible gift to have given us kids. It's something that's really important to my husband and I to give to our kids and to be able to have that privacy, and not necessarily show much of them on social media.”
Later that year in November, Pratt caught some flack for praising Schwarzenegger for giving birth to a “gorgeous healthy daughter,” which some users online thought was an unnecessary dig at Faris and their prematurely born son. He told Men’s Health that the backlash “really f—ing bothered” him and that he “cried about it.”
“That is f—ed up. My son’s gonna read that one day. He’s nine. And it’s etched in digital stone … I was like, I hate that these blessings in my life are—to the people close to me—a real burden,” he said.
In 2023, Schwarzenegger echoed the sentiment: “I see what people say,” she told the New York Times. “But I just know that it’s so far from the reality.”
The couple also share Stillwater Ranch in Washington state, parenting baby goats, sheep and cows.
