Gene Simmons apparently has some time on his hands now that KISS has retired.
The singer-bassist turned up as a guest on the FOX 11 News in Los Angeles during a weather segment on Thursday, March 13 with Adam Krueger.
Sporting a button-down jean shirt, black leather pants, sunglasses and a black baseball hat, Simmons surprised viewers by walking onto the set in the middle of Krueger’s weather segment.
“Gene, you show us everything you’ve got,” Krueger said.
“Baby, that’s quite a lot,” the rock legend responded.
The two then traded compliments. “You look much better in real life than you do on TV,” Simmons said.
“You look great in both.”
“I know that,” the always cocky Simmons replied.
Krueger moved onto the weather report, dropping in lyrics from the 1975 KISS classic “Rock and Roll All Nite.”
“There’s been a lot of rain lately and in the rain, you drive us wild, we’ll drive you crazy talking about this rain,” Krueger said.
“I wrote that,” Simmons responded. “I like that.”
Kruger continued the forecast, dropping in more lyrics from the song. “You keep on shoutin’, you keep on shoutin’ you want some better weather, right?”
“This weekend I’m thinking it’s looking pretty good if people want to rock and roll all night…,” Krueger said.
“They should probably party every day,” Simmons added, continuing to riff on the KISS classic.
Fans were impressed, commenting on Krueger’s video of the segment posted on TikTok, along with the caption, “Literally sneaking @KISS in the weather! ? @GeneSimmons #sneakingwordsintheweather @FOX 11 Los Angeles .”
“GENE SIMMONS WHAT,” wrote one fan.
“Awesome,” added another.
“Oh my god I love gene,” another fan chimed in.
“Love the twist! Really wish you were my weather man ??,” added another fan.
One fan gave Krueger the thumbs up but wasn’t so sure about Simmons, writing, “
