COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- A 17-year-old has been charged after Columbus police said they were behind the wheel when a pedestrian was hit and killed Wednesday afternoon.
Whitehall mother sentenced in death of 9-month old daughterA Columbus police dispatcher said officers were called to the 1300 block of Marion Road on the south side just after 4:45 p.m. on reports a pedestrian being struck by a car. A spokesperson with Columbus police said the pedestrian is dead and the driver was doing "donuts" beforehand.
The 17-year-old driver has been charged with operating a vehicle while impaired. Columbus police has yet to confirm if the teen will face additional charges.
