Josh Allen signs biggest contract in NFL history at Buffalo Bills – but Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott still earns more

JOSH ALLEN has signed the biggest contract in NFL history with the Buffalo Bills.

He will be guaranteed $250million after penning a six-year deal.

However because of bonuses Dallas Cowboys quarter-back Dak Prescott is still the highest earner in the league.

Prescott’s contract means he can earn up to $60m a year, with Allen on $55m.

If he triggers all the bonuses in his deal Allen will earn $330m up until 2030.

Allen, 28, won the NFL MVP this season after becoming the first player in NFL history to record at least 25 touchdown passes and 10 touchdown runs with fewer than 10 interceptions in a season.

He finished with 28 touchdown passes, 12 rushing touchdowns and 6 interceptions.

General manager Brendan Beane was glowing of Allen following the end of the season.

He said: “I love Josh and so proud of what he’s done, and so, I could be here all day talking about how great he is and what he’s done for our team and where he belongs in the pecking order of all that stuff.

“He and I have a great relationship. We talk a lot. When the dust settles, before we’re ever really talking to his agent or his agents calling me, like, Josh and I will have those conversations [about a potential extension], holistically about the team, things like that.

“And I’m not saying it will happen, I’m not saying it won’t happen. There’ll be a time and place, and not saying we will, but not ruling it out either.”

Allen is the Bills‘ third player to be voted MVP, joining Thurman Thomas (1991) and O.J. Simpson (1973).

Allen was reduced to tears last month after watching a tribute video that was made for him.

The three-minute montage featured young fans from Oishei Children’s Hospital congratulating Allen.

The kids thanked him for all the visits he’s made to the facility over the years.

Allen was moved to tears watching the video and said: “Why are you doing this to me? I don’t know what else to say. It’s pretty cool. Thank you guys.”

He then shared some incredibly heartfelt words for those who took the time to make the tribute.

The 2025 MVP said: “My job is not that hard. I play football.

“What you guys have to go through and continue to fight through is much harder than anything I could do.

“And I look up to you as much as you look up to me. I really appreciate that. Love you guys. Ah! I didn’t want to cry tonight.”
