For the first time in a long time Charissa Thompson got to be a spectator instead of a commentator. The accomplished sportscaster and television host, 43, was just in Venice, Italy for the wedding of longtime friend and colleague Lauren Sánchez, 55, who tied the knot with Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, 61 on Friday, June 27.
While Sánchez, an Emmy-winning journalist, stole the show in her Dolce & Gabbana wedding dress, Thompson looked ravishing in a black and white-fringed evening gown. With her hair upswept in an sophisticated style to complement her dress and elegant jewelry, she was nothing short of stunning. Thompson's boyfriend, Steve Cundari, attended the black tie event with her, looking equally handsome in a classic black tuxedo and bowtie.
The star-studded affair was undoubedtly the social event of the season, and the guest list was a who's-who of the couple's famous friends. In addition to Thompson, other attendees included Kim Kardashian, Khloé Kardashian, Kris Jenner, Kylie Jenner, Oprah Winfrey, Gayle King, Orlando Bloom, Queen Rania of Jordan, Bill Gates, and iconic fashion designers Diane von Fürstenberg and Tommy Hilfiger.
While this may be Thompson's most romantic trip to the Floating City, it's certainly not her first, and chances are Sánchez didn't have to twist her arm to convince her to attend the wedding festivities. In 2013 post to X, she wrote:
